Mason Wu

Mason grew up in Taipei and the San Francisco Bay Area. After 9 years of school on the East Coast of the US, he is happy to be back in the Golden State!

Mason’s passion lies at the intersection of organic and polymer chemistry. To address the global plastics crisis, his research focuses on developing recyclable thermoset plastics that can be constructed using light and easily degraded materials. Mason is currently a Taiwan Science and Technology Hub Postdoctoral Fellow in Professor Zhenan Bao’s research group in the Department of Chemical Engineering. His goal is to obtain an academic faculty position where he can further the endeavors of organic and polymer chemistry through dynamic teaching and exciting research.
