As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly advances, the global dependence on Taiwan for supplying essential components such as semiconductor chips, packaging, and systems that enable AI servers grows. This symposium seeks to strengthen understanding between Taiwan and the United States, fostering a collaborative platform for dialogue on AI technology, regulatory frameworks, and policy initiatives. The interplay between regulation and policy in both the USA and Taiwan impacts the global supply chain serving AI. Critical choices are under review now, making this a timely discussion. We are honored to welcome esteemed government officials, scholars, and industry experts from the U.S.A. and Taiwan. Together, they will examine critical issues surrounding global supply chains.

Primary Objectives

  • Discuss the rapidly changing legal and policy landscape that impacts the development of AI technology, both in the USA and Taiwan.
  • Bring together stakeholders from the USA and Taiwan, spanning academia, government, and industry, to represent diverse points of view.
  • Explore possibilities for future collaborations and studies to recommend positive steps to be taken in the USA and Taiwan.
